About SOUL

SOUL — Society of Universe Lovers is a non-governmental organisation registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. Founded by socially conscious individuals, SOUL brings together people who believe that education, compassion and service can create meaningful change.

Our journey began informally in December 2012 with a school for underprivileged children and a shelter for abandoned cows in Noida. As these initiatives grew with community support, SOUL was formally registered on 19 September 2013.

In 2021, we adopted Village Pooth, on the banks of the River Ganga in District Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, to support children and their families. Since then, we have been providing free, quality education and daily mid-day meals to tribal children, while working with their mothers to expand access to learning, build confidence and encourage self-reliance.

Our two core initiatives reflect this commitment: SOUL Gurukul, which advances our purpose of “Education for All,” and Shakti Kendra, which supports women’s empowerment.

Over the years, SOUL has grown into a collective effort sustained by volunteers, donors and compassionate individuals. Together, we work towards a future where every child has the opportunity to learn, every woman feels empowered to grow, and every life is treated with dignity.
